What is the Qualification of Doctor as Tokyo Cosmetic Dentist?
Dr. Enatsu with AACD President Sesemann
Sustaining Member of AACD (American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry)
The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry has developed a credentialing program to help the public find excellent cosmetic dentistry care. Once a cosmetic dentist has attended two annual meetings of the academy, he or she is eligible to take a written examination to demonstrate a mastery of the concepts, techniques, and materials of cosmetic dentistry. Upon passing this examination, the academy awards the recognition of being a “sustaining member” of the academy.
Dr. Hirokazu Enatsu is a sustaining member of the AACD, and has thus shown that he is a knowledgeable Tokyo cosmetic dentist.
Veneers
Veneers are thin porcelain or composite shells bonded to the front of teeth to improve color, shape, size, and minor alignment. They’re conservative compared with crowns, treating stains, chips, gaps, and wear. Treatment includes planning, mock-ups, and precise bonding. Good hygiene preserves longevity; grinding may require nightguards for added protection.

Composite
Composite is used to fill smaller cavities and close small gaps of the front teeth and commonly used to replace old Amalgam fillings into white fillings. The filling is done in one appointment. Some cavities are just too big to fill directly and doctor may recommend inlays or onlays.
Full Ceramic Crowns and Bridges
Dental crowns, or caps, fully cover a tooth from the gum line up, restoring strength, shape, and function. While they can improve appearance, crowns are primarily used to protect weakened teeth, repair significant damage, or replace large fillings that compromise tooth structure. By encasing the tooth, they bind and support it, similar to a splint stabilizing a fracture.
Crowns are made from metal (gold or other alloys), ceramic, or porcelain-fused-to-metal (PFM). Metal crowns are strong and ideal for back teeth, while ceramic and PFM options blend with natural enamel for a more aesthetic look.
Treatment is done under local anesthesia. The dentist reshapes the tooth, takes an impression or scan, and places a temporary crown. A dental lab fabricates the final crown, which is cemented at a follow-up visit. If the tooth is severely damaged, a root canal and post-and-core foundation may be needed before crown placement.
